President Obama makes a historic move today in announcing that he will sign the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilties. As a global leader in human rights it seems only appropriate that the US government should take a stand against discrimination and sign the international treaty. Obama will still have to seek support from the Senate for ratification, but this is one step in the right direction.
